Welcome to the play – anywhere, anytime.
Hackido – the way of the harmonious hack
What is the reason for the creation? In a word; Play! The fundamental joy of spirit in all of our infinite possibilities appreciates Play in all of its forms. Hackido is a fast, effective way to bring others back into Play.
Our Vision and Mission:
Hackido is a Play–driven movement of unlimited spontaneous jollification. Through every culture, Play is the common thread that unites us all. Is there any other game or sport that allows for cooperative competition? In this form of meditative Play, brain neurons are ecstatically dancing while your synapses are branching and exploring new uncharted territory of the mind. While to "play with thyself" is encouraged, the game lends itself to being shared with others as well, anytime, almost anywhere. The simple construction of the sack teaches fundamental sewing skills, with the end result being a creation of a fun ball that can be taken anywhere. The mission of the Hackido Movement is global remembrance of the primal urge to Play, one hack at a time!
"Who is this clown?"
While obtaining his monk–hood in an ashram, Zander's first guru saw the Play of hack and commented, "This is your focus, your center...". He was witnessing the meditation of Play. Since the utterance of these prophetic words, Zander has traveled the world bringing the joy of hack to over 30 countries. Known as "the Hack Guru", the message is one of Play and laughter. Learning how to make a sack is both fun and educational–as hundreds of children can attest to. As an honorable part of the life experience, Zander has personally made and donated over two thousand sacks since first acquiring the skill in 1999.
The Way of Hackido
Hackido is a spiritual path and a religion. Everyone starts off as a Fool of Play when they are gifted their first very first sack and are taught the Rules of Play:
First Rule: No Hands
Second Rule: No Self–Serves
Third Rule: No "Sorry's"
The punishment of committing any of these Hackido SINS is to have the accuser bean the blasphemer. The sinner can shield their "valuables" from the beaning; NO FLINCHING OR DODGING PERMITTED. YOU MUST FACE YOUR PENANCE HONORABLY IN ORDER TO RECEIVE REDEMPTION.
